Reach Invented Vehicles

The Elephant appears to be a mobile base and repair vehicle. Twelve soldiers can ride in it and a Mongoose in its forward hold. It is armed with a forward M41 LAAG on the top right and an AIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun on the mid left. It is a three storied vehicle with the bottom story; the rear cargo tray carries tons and tons of equipment, the second story, a walkway around the cargo ramp and leads onto the driver's cabin then a small, elevated third story where the M41 LAAG is mounted. It features a crane, numerous firing ports and elevated positions for defending it. It shares the same track set-up as the Scorpion Tank, with a set of four tracked bogies along its chassis. Its chassis is as high as it is long, providing stability. The Elephant can hold six mongooses or two Warthogs.


The M12C9 light anti-armor vehicle (LAAV) is a variant of the Warthog-the M41 LAAG machine-gun is replaced with a triple-barreled 102mm M4026 HAAG missile launcher. Like its counterpart, it is fast and highly maneuverable. Although the missile launcher makes it an effective anti-vehicle weapon platform, the time required to reload the weapon after firing all three missiles leave the vehicle and its occupants vulnerable to counter-attacks. This variant of the Warthog, because it's so similar to the M12 LRV, is painted grey with white highlights to help soldiers distinguish it from the M12.

Although the rocket launcher makes it an effective anti-vehicle weapon platform, the time required to reload the weapon after firing all three rockets leave the vehicle and its occupants vulnerable to counter-attacks. This variant of the Warthog, because it's so similar to the M12 LRV, is painted black with yellow highlights to help soldiers distinguish it from the M12. A slight variant from this model is the M12C9 LAAV (light anti-aircraft vehicle) which is outfitted with Ardent V heat/motion-seeking surface-to-air missiles instead of the triple-barreled rocket launcher.


The Scorpion Main Battle Tank is primarily an anti-vehicle weapons platform, but it also has very high anti-infantry capabilities. Its ceramic-titanium armor makes it nearly invulnerable to small arms fire, but its deep dead-zone, or the area within which fire from the tank's guns cannot hit targets, puts it at risk from enemy anti-tank infantry. Up to four soldiers may ride on (and fire from) the Scorpion's track pods. Riding on a tank is always hazardous and should be done only when the advantages outweigh the risks. The Scorpion MBT's four track pods operate independently, and have their own range of movement. This helps considerably when crossing uneven terrain, and can even clear most large obstacles.


The M274 Mongoose ULATV is one of the fastest ground vehicles in the arsenal of the UNSC Marine Corps, making it a highly effective vehicle for reconnaissance, rapid transportation, and swift tactical versatility. It is the smaller cousin to the ubiquitous M12 Warthog LRV, and is a small ATV with a driver in the front seat and an optional passenger riding shotgun on a deployable rear section. The Mongoose's high speed and light mass and armor makes it unwieldy and difficult to control at high speeds and over unstable terrain, making the ULATV vulnerable to destabilization, crashes, and flips. The driver and passenger are also completely exposed, and the Mongoose's design affords neither one of them any vehicular armor, making Mongoose operators extremely vulnerable to fire.
The Hornet is a small Human aircraft. Its armaments include two machine guns and two missile launchers. Reportedly slower than most other aircrafts but also it has the ability to hover and move backwards.


The Shortsword-class Bomber is a United Nations Space Command aircraft. It is a ground-based atmospheric bomber that is used primarily for short range, heavy payload runs against ground targets, especially Alien installations.

The Sparrowhawk has design elements from a mixture of modern VTOL aircraft, most prominently the Harrier Jump-Jet, and attack helicopter gunships such as the AH64 Apache, and the Osprey. It also bears a marked resemblance to the ORCA Gunship from rival RTS Command and Conquer 3. It consists of an elongated fuselage with stubby wings on each side of it. The cockpit is forward mounted, and the tail section juts out from behind the fuselage at a downward angle. Each wing incorporates a Ducted Air Fan for lift and thrust, and carries three missiles/rockets on pylons on each wing. Each wing also carries a twin autocannon, with another autocannon mounted underneath the cockpit.


The standard method of deploying troops from orbit to ground is the D77-TC "Pelican" Troop Carrier. The Pelican has a capacity of three crew (pilot, copilot, and flight engineer) and 10 passengers in its rear bay (though it n accommodate five additional standing passengers in a crisis). It is equipped with electronic systems hardened against EMP; heavy armor; a 70mm "chin gun" controlled by a gunner and an IHADSS (Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System-essentially, wherever the gunner looks, the chin gun follows); rocket pods; jamming and detection gear; an onboard weapons locker (which can hold weapons and ammo for up to 30 troops); and computerized mapping gear.
